Carrizo Ranch

The city of Floresville is a community that maintains the charm of a small town but offers many convinces and amenities of a big city.  Downtown Floresville makes you feel at home in the town square with its historic buildings and streets lined with trees. 

There are many local restaurants to choose from offering a variety of authentic Mexican food, BBQ, American Food and more.  Floresville has a number of boutiques and unique gift shops which are locally owned and operated as well as many hair/nail salons to choose from.  In addition you can find retail and franchise stores such as H-E-B, Beals, Whataburger, Sonic, Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, Auto Zone, O’Riley Auto Parts, and Tractor Supply.  Floresville is also home to the Arcadia movie theater located downtown.                                

Several major cities are only  a short drive away such as San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Corpus Christi.

Floresville is well known for the Peanut Festival which is held the secound week of October each year.  The festival celebrates the history of peanut production in Floresville.  Wilson County produces approximately 30 million pounds of peanuts annually. The Peanut Festival includes a parade, a variety of food, dances, Goober Games for the little ones, and much more entertainment for the whole family.  Attending this local festival has become a tradition of many local family residents. 

Carrizo Ranch is situated close to a state of the art, $13 million elementary school to be built for the residents of northern Wilson County.  The Floresville High School is also undergoing improvements and construction.  A new football field and track is currently being installed as well as many new buildings and amenities.
